For 35 years, Jamie's has been showcasing some of the best established and up coming bands from all over the state. They host a variety of music including rock, country, blues and pop. If you're out on Detroit's west side, stop in at Jamie's for some great music with a great atmosphere.

Congratulations to this weeks featured artist, SevenLetters. This Detroit based Rock/Alternative band has been around for a few years and they know what it takes to make great music. Their upbeat, well produced songs highlight the talent that these 4 guys have.

You can catch SevenLetters this Friday, June 11th at The Magic Bag in Ferndale. They are opening for Fifth Way with a few others and its sure to be a great night. Last time I saw them there, the place was packed and everyone enjoyed a crowd rockin' performance.

Happy 4th of July to everyone! Today's Pick showcases a great event that is not only going to be a great time, but will also benefit the veterans who have given part of their life to serve the Country and fight for the American way of life.

The Michigan Vet Fest is an all day festival taking place on July 12th in Westland. All proceeds from this event go directly to the Veterans Haven of Wayne.

The Michigan Vet Fest has all types of activities for adults and children throughout the day. Bring the entire family for a day of great music, food and fun while helping out those who have sacrificed themselves for all of us.
