Artists, Venues and Resources:
Creating a profile automatically registers you in our weekly poll. These profile types also have access to post events to the public calendar and make announcements.
Artists Only:
Only artists are permitted to upload music or submit songs to our compilation.
Venues/Resources:
Venues and Resources have the option to display their address and hours of operation.
Members/Memberships:
Artists, Venues and Resources have an option to add members to their profiles. Using the administration tool, only the person who originally created the profile can add members. To add members, the profile creator can enter the name and position of the member. If the member has a LocalMusicLife.com profile, there is a space to add that members weblink name.
There are two access levels for adding members with LocalMusicLife.com profiles, Full and Restricted. Full members can add, edit and remove items from all areas of that profile, send and view messages, and approve comments. Restricted members can view all public information, but cannot make any changes or view private messages sent to and from their membership profile.
Public Calendar
Artist, Venue and Resource profiles can create their own events and display them on the main site calendar. All events are added to the newsletter directly before the event.
Announcements
Artist, Venue and Resource profiles can make an announcement to the site. All announcements must be authorized to display on the site. Once approved, the 5 recent announcements will be displayed on the home page, on our Announcements page for 14 days and on your profile page until you remove them. They are also added to the newsletter following their approval
Booking Assistant
The Booking Assistant is a great new feature created to help find artists for open gigs. This feature is currently only available to Artist profiles. Select the 'Booking Assistant' option after you have selected your Artist profile in the administration section of the site. Once you have activated this feature, it will ask you a list of questions that we can use to search for the best match to any available openings. The Booking Assistant has only recently been released to the artists. After more take advantage of this new feature, we will make the searching functions available to more users.
