About Us:

Crossroads Blues Band has been in existance for over 15 years. We have played many different venues over the years including clubs, festivals, private parties, corporate events, fundraisers as well as educational events such as Blues in Schools and Jam Session 101. This is an area we are particularly interested in pursuing in the future. We were the house band at the legendary Wonderfuls Funky Basement in Kalamazoo for over 11 years, hosting the Thursday night jam session and opening the show for many many national acts such as Phillip Garner, Harper, Chicago Rhythm & Blues Kings, Benois King, Magic Slim and the Teardrops and a host of others. We have won three different regional compititions to earn the right to compete in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee in 2000, 2004 and 2008
Our current lineup is guitar, bass, drums and sax with two lead vocalists. We also work with a keyboad player who's done quite a bit of session work with us. We have recorded three CD's of all original music over the years, although in our live shows we play a mixture of covers, original takes on covers as well as original music. We put an emphasis on providing a crowd pleasing performance and tend to cover way more ground then your typical 'bar' band.
